Who am I?

I am mum of three humans and two fur babies. My two active boys are into mountain biking, fishing and sailing as this is their jam. My girl is soooo big, like 26 years old eek! and is travelling the world, having some amazing experiences.

When I'm not helping ignite workplace cultures you'll usually find me in the kitchen cooking for others or entertaining, hanging out with my family and making them a feast, scoping out open homes or enjoying some yummy cafe brunches and making most of the sun!

I am curious, creative and chatty, I love asking questions and listening to the answers. I have a Diploma in Business Management, Human Resource Management and Business Studies. I'm a certified Emotional Culture Consultant and I am Dare to Lead trained using Brene Brown's framework by BOMA.

My Experience...

My Experience includes having over 25 years of leadership positions, in operational, service delivery functions working for New Zealand's government agencies as well as private organisations.

After realising that I can make a greater impact by being self employed, which meant I was able to spend more time helping people get jobs and earning more I begin to embark a journey of self discovery. To which I started my own consultancy.

I have developed and led teams, where people finally feel a sense of belonging and trust. Using the Emotional Culture Deck as the foundational way of understanding and increasing self awareness, amongst teams to agree on goals, career paths and development opportunities.

This has enabled me to learn and understand the barriers faced when people try to get a new job, which is how I created my career frameworks. Too many times I saw great people being unsuccessful in their job applications, even internally within the organisation. Yet they were amazing at their jobs.

I figured it out...

We don't get taught how to identify our transferable skills, interview or how to write a great CV or Cover Letter. We just learnt it as we grow up. Getting feedback from our parents, friends or work colleagues.

We're also told not to gloat. Showoff or brag about what we've achieved. We've had it drummed into us, that there's no 'I' in "team". So make sure you don't talk about just yourself is what we've heard.

However when you're trying to secure a role and earn more bragging about what you've achieved and delivered is EXACTLY what you need to do. And having a clear strategy, awesome template and method to putting your documents together is key to your success.

What I'm proud of..

I’m most proud of my work in helping people get job offers and earning more. The increase in confidence people have after working with 1:1 with me and after my coaching calls has been described as 'up lifting' and 'motivational'.

The belief being instilled through each session, enables my clients, to want to take action, get momentum and begin to see results.

I also love creating winning exiting employee experiences! Helping business let employees leave with dignity and uncover their unique employee value proposition (EVP) and bringing it to life.

Working with organisations, making it easy to showcase being a 'great employer' even through restructuring moments by giving their people an opportunity to develop and get 'job ready' is what I'm pretty good at.

I love helping employees get clarity on the contribution they've made to the organisation and how to showcase this in the market place, ensuring they have a positive outlook.
